His story found us mid-visit.
This was a unique project. We learned of his story while we were visiting him, so we created the whole production with what we had in our travel bags, in a very limited time window.
It is a testament to how we work: a minimal setup, a small team, and a short window are not a compromise. They are how the subject forgets the camera is there, and how you get the truth.
